01

Choose a squad job before comparing perks

Basic, Frontline, Support, and Backline labels are useful starting points, but the real question is what the squad needs this run. Decide who controls melee pressure, who creates safety or information, and who converts ammunition into priority kills.

RolePurposeDependency
FrontlineHold close pressure and protect the laneTreatment, space, and ranged cover
SupportCreate control, recovery, or team utilityTeammates who act on that utility
BacklineRemove high-priority threats at rangeA stable lane and disciplined ammunition use

02

Read the ability, pros, and cons as one package

A powerful active ability does not cancel a perk's passive penalties. Read the current in-game description, then ask how its recharge, positioning demands, and drawbacks change ordinary scavenging and night defense.

  • Plan what the ability solves
  • Name the vulnerable period before or after use
  • Do not copy an old video value without an in-game check

03

Build traits and equipment around the job

Traits and equipment should reinforce the intended job or cover a known weakness. A frontline setup values consistency under pressure, while a backline setup must protect accuracy and ammunition efficiency; support choices depend on whether the team needs control, recovery, or information.

Treat these as decision criteria, not a universal current ranking, because balance values and team composition can change the result.

04

Re-evaluate the same perk for solo and coordinated play

Solo play rewards self-sufficiency and an exit plan. Coordinated play can support narrower specialists because teammates cover their downtime and weaknesses.

  • New players: prefer a job you can explain in one sentence
  • Solo: bring an answer for healing, range, and retreat
  • Team: announce the timing teammates must play around
